Covered California’s selected-county examples use a single 40-year-old with annual household income of $31,920, living in a specific ZIP code in the county and rating region. The source covers 16 selected counties, not all 58; Los Angeles has two rating regions.
Preliminary — undergoing regulatory review. These are sample plan premiums, not countywide averages or renewal quotes. The source’s figures are as of August 23, 2026, published October 1, 2026; it says 2027 rates are under review by the Department of Managed Health Care.
Compare before-subsidy premiums separately from what a consumer pays. The percentage column is the source’s change in gross monthly premium from 2026 to 2027, not an after-subsidy increase. Only the 2027 consumer cost is supplied; no 2026 after-subsidy comparison is implied. The examples deduct the listed federal advance premium tax credit (APTC) and California credit, as published. Rounding or source inconsistencies can produce $1–$2 differences; the listed consumer cost is preserved. New plans without a 2026 premium have no year-over-year comparison.
